Coach's comments/season outlook: "The biggest benefit of this team is the experience that many of these players have had last year. Many of them participated in some shape or form throughout the season and in the playoff run. As a coach, you always hope that a team can gel and come together sooner than later. I think this team has already done a great job thus far in doing so.
We have a lot of work to do as we continue to move throughout this season and I’m excited with the leadership that we have to aide in this. Players like Werley, Kulp, Crump and E. Pinto all have stepped up and have been doing a great job in leading in their own ways.
We have moved a few players around and have a few underclassmen we’re expecting to step into some big roles this year and contribute right away.
Keys to our success will be our selfless play from everyone. We’re going to need people to step up when their names called upon and be ready to do so at any time throughout the season.
This is a great group of women that have a lot of potential to be successful this year. We’re going to need all players involved and playing a role. Looking forward to a great season with this 2022 Vikings!
